Up in the Northwest, we say that summer doesn’t actually start until July 4th. Right now, we’re experiencing our annual June gloom. So I thought it was time to invoke blue skies and warmer temps.  A season’s worth of summits, single track and lounging on the riverbank is just around the corner. It’s time for me to do my part in the changing of the seasons.

Happy summer.

  • Hey What up Fitz, cool short. I sort have had a summer transition similar to yours. I hail from southern Illinois where it is entirely to hot and humid to hop on routes and boulders. Here in the summer we head to Lake Kinkaid for deep water solo. My transition came as plunged off the 60 foot rock face for the first time and felt the refreshing water take away all pain and exhaustion from the hike in, as I swam to my summer project call Moonshine 5.12a. What a great start to the summer.
